From 1 September 2007, the German Government is increasing the charges in the German truck toll system. The average toll rate is increasing by 1.1 Eurocents per km to 13.5 Eurocents per km travelled. The changes result in the following toll rates per km:
 
Toll-liable vehicles or vehicle combinations with up to three axles:
? EUR 0.10 in category A,
? EUR 0.12 in category B,
? EUR 0.145 in category C.
 
Toll-liable vehicles or vehicle combinations with four or more axles:
? EUR 0.11 in category A,
? EUR 0.13 in category B,
? EUR 0.155 in category C.
 
Vehicles are classified into categories A, B or C on the basis of their emissions class.
